Marshall Waterways Day

Marshall Waterways Day 2024

Saturday, October 12

Few cities are blessed with such varied, scenic, and pristine waterways than Marshall, MI. Running along its south side is the prized Kalamazoo River. Framing its east side is Rice Creek and its west side is Bear Creek. For the start of Marshall Rotary Club’s second 100 years, the club has embraced environmental actions targeting our waterways and adjoining parks, trails, and riverwalk.

To celebrate these Marshall treasures, Rotary is holding its inaugural Marshall Waterways Day on Saturday, October 12. This is being done in partnership with Michigan Waterways Stewards and BlueOval Battery Park Michigan-Ford (title sponsor). This renewed focus will make our waterways more accessible for passive recreation such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, and nature watching.
We honor the efforts of current and past stewards and want to complement their good work and inspire others to join them. Please share this information with your friends and make sure your environmental/conservation group has a table at this event. It will be a great opportunity to promote your group and recruit new members.
